It dawned on me this morning… if everything happens for a reason than every quality and attribute that we possess is purposeful; Nature does not create something that is not meant to serve a purpose.

Animals are guided by an attraction towards pleasing their five senses and repulsion from pain. Humanity has this same unconscious attraction however, in addition to the desire to please our five senses, we have an additional desire that allows us to find pleasure in giving without the intention of receiving something in return. Nature gives, but when a plant produces a fruit, it is done so for the purpose of reproduction.

If we possess qualities that animals do not, is it not ultimately our responsibility to use them in order to further our growth/evolution/destination?
